Release Notes: V0.12.10.070

Stability & 5G SA Improvements

By the CellInfo Dev Team | Published: 7th April 2026

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ FIXED: Stability

A behind-the-scenes fix to keep the app running smoothly during signal monitoring.

  • Smoother notifications: Removed a hidden bottleneck that could cause the app to briefly freeze when updating the signal notification bar. The notification now updates instantly every time your cell changes.
  • More reliable monitoring: The app no longer risks stalling during frequent cell tower updates, particularly on 5G networks where updates happen rapidly.

๐Ÿ“ถ FIXED: 5G SA Events (Beta)

These improvements are visible to Supporters and invited Beta users in the 5G SA Events log. Supporters get early access to new features like this as one of the perks of their subscription โ€” before they roll out to everyone.

  • Consistent gNB display: The tower ID shown in the events list now always matches what you see when you open the tower details. Previously, the same tower could show a different gNB number in the list versus the detail view, depending on your network operator โ€” this is now consistent everywhere.
  • Correct operator bit-split: The gNB calculation now correctly respects your operator’s network configuration (e.g. EE uses a different split to O2), and also honours any manual override you’ve set in settings.
  • Navigation fixed: Closing a tower’s detail view now correctly returns you to the expanded event list โ€” with your previously opened gNB group and coverage map still showing, exactly as you left them. Previously, it would collapse everything, and you’d lose your place.

Thanks to the Beta users who reported the gNB display inconsistency โ€” your detailed reports with exported JSON logs made this much easier to track down and fix, while you monitor your network. The improvements are especially noticeable during active signal monitoring and when switching between different network types.. If you’ve noticed the app becoming unresponsive during signal monitoring, this update is for you.
