๐ถ FIXED: Accurate WiFi Standard Detection
We’ve corrected an issue where the Network Diagnostics screen could display the wrong WiFi standard for your connection.
- WiFi 6 No Longer Misreported as WiFi 7: Users connected to WiFi 6 (802.11ax) networks were incorrectly shown as being on WiFi 7 (802.11be). This has been fixed, so your connection type is reported accurately.
- Full Standard Coverage: The diagnostics screen now correctly identifies all WiFi generations, including WiFi 4 (802.11n), WiFi 5 (802.11ac), WiFi 6 (802.11ax), WiFi 6E, and WiFi 7 (802.11be).
- Safer Fallback: If your device reports an unrecognised WiFi standard, the app will now display “Unknown standard” instead of incorrectly defaulting to WiFi 7.
๐ NEW: Screenshot Attachments in Feedback
Reporting a bug or suggesting a feature just got easier.
- Attach Screenshots: You can now attach up to 3 images when sending feedback, making it simpler to show us exactly what you’re seeing.
- Smart Size Limits: The app checks file sizes before sending (5 MB per file, 10 MB total) so your email doesn’t bounce.
Thanks to the user who reported the WiFi 6/7 detection issue โ your feedback helps make CellInfo better for everyone.
